David J. Lechner, M.D.

Dr. David Lechner was born in Pennsylvania and obtained his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College (VT) in 1969. He graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 1973 where he was elected to honor societies for excellence in academic and clinical medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha) and medical research (Sigma Xi). He completed his post-graduate internship and residency in Ophthalmology in 1978 at the University of Washington Medical Center.

He joined the West Seattle Highline Eye Clinic in 1978 and continued as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Washington until 1987. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of numerous national, state, and local medical associations.

Dr. Lechner now divides his time between his ophthalmology practice at the West Seattle Highline Eye Clinic and as a fly fishing guide on rivers throughout the West.
